Namita Vikas is the Founder and Managing Director of auctusESG, a global advisory firm for sustainable finance and ESG. Namita is a senior business leader with 30 years of diverse global experience in climate strategy and sustainability across sectors like banking, technology and FMCG, with a particular focus on sustainable and green finance, ESG & Climate Risk Management. Previously, in her leadership role with a large Indian private bank, Namita was instrumental in issuing India’s first ever Green Bond in 2015, and successfully led GCF accreditation for the bank.
She has also raised from DFIs over USD 1 billion in capital and credit lines towards green and sustainable projects. In the past she has held several key advisory positions, including Chairperson of the UN Natural Capital Finance Alliance, member of Global Steering Committee of UNEP FI, and currently sits on Government of India committees for sustainable finance and ESG. Her firm auctusESG was awarded India’s SME Leadership Champion Award, by UN Women 2021 Asia-Pacific.
Special Interest Groups (SIGs) has been established as targeted, practitioner-led platforms to address critical development financing challenges across ADFIAP-member DFIs. Coordinated jointly by the Focal Team of Special Interest Groups (FT-SIG)—led by the Agricultural and Rural Development Bank (ARDB) of Cambodia and the ADFIAP Secretariat—the SIG initiative enables member banks to exchange evidence-based practices, diagnose institutional bottlenecks, and formulate joint action plans.
